Panasonic misleading specs. Locked

the pixels *are* square: 4000x3000 pixels for 4:3 format. Read my post!

If you had bothered to read my post, you would see clear evidence that the pixels are square: the standard 4:3 shape format is 4000x3000 pixels, and indeed for all shapes, the ratio of pixel counts matches the shape ratio.

Give it a rest: the dimensions given of 17.3x13mm are clearly for the standard 4:3 shape output format of 4000x3000 pixels, the same as for the G1 because the pixels are the same size and shape as in the G1 sensor; the other shapes use extra columns of pixels to the side in a wider sensor.
