50 1.4 vs 60 2.8
Several months ago I was asking which lens would be best for portraits..etc. I was torn between these 2 lenses.
I chose the 50 1.4 and did not regret it. I think this lens takes excellent portraits and is great in low light.
However, I kept hearing about how sharp the 60mm 2.8 (macro) lens was and ultimately decided to buy this lens recently. (arrived yesterday)
This lens is AWESOME! It is incredibly sharp, better than the 50 1.4 and the ability to get seriously up close and personal via macro gives some really cool shots too.
I'm going to hold on to both lenses for a while and see if i have a need for both of these lens' or if I'm going to end up selling one or the other (likely selling the 50 1.4)
Sorry, I do not have any samples at this time...being that I'm at work.
Just thought I would share my excitement and opinions about these 2 lenses.
