Canon 1Ds mk3 landscapes from Italy

The recent earth quake in Abruzzo close to the main city in the area L'Aquila was a terrible event that caused many old buildings to collapse and made many people homeless. One of the ways we can support the poeple there is to travel to their location and stay there. The environment is beatiful. Here are some images taken with the Caon 1Ds mk3. I hope you enjoy them.

Canon 24-70 f/2.8L and an almost painterly effect of what happens often in the mountains with clouds drifting in

Canon 24-70 f/2.8L and one of these weather situations with dramatic skies and lighting that often occur in the mountains

Canon 70-200 f/4L IS (and my favorite landscape lens) and some morning mist and beautiful light coming from the rising sun

Canon 70-200 f/4L IS and some of the nicely rounded hills

Canon 24-70 f/2.8L and the highest mountains around 3000 meters in the background.

Canon 70-200 f/4L IS and the type og life with the herds of sheep that have been in this area for hundreds of years.

Canon 16-35 f/2.8L II taken out of one of the windoes in an old castle overlooking the mountains.

Canon 16-35 f/2.8L II @16mm
