70-200VR vs 70-300VR

I recently sold my 70-300VR to have a little extra cash to put towards the 70-200VR. I was fortunate enough to catch it on ebay for $1200 (before all the prices sky-rocketed).

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to test it out at the dog park and was amazed at how fast it focused. I was always wishing that my 70-300VR focused a little faster, but never complained about the picture quality.

Below are a couple of pictures. The first was taken with the 70-300VR over a year ago. I was very happy with the quality of the picture, but the amount of great photos (keepers) is much lower than with my new 70-200VR:

Hayden - 1/500 sec f/8

Kona - 1/3200 sec f/2.8

Kona - 1/320 sec f/4

My point is that you can get great shots with either lens, you just may have to be more patient with the slower one. Any thoughts/cc are welcome.
