Re: Camera for Disney World?

Sandra and I did visit Disney World in 2004. I had with me as a still camera the Olympus C-750UZ, and a Canon DV MV 100 DV tape camera.

Sandra wanted lots of movies - four years later I made 8 DVDs from them - here is a frame:

So I took only a few stills:

Looking back at that experience, I would now go for the Canon SX1. It has a large zoom, and it does HD movies with stereo sound.

I have the Olympus SP-570UZ. With 20x zoom at 10MP and VGA movieis at 30fps, it would do the job for me. The sound is mono with good AM quality - the recording volume copes without a lot of distortion. I use it at Morris dance gigs:

But the Olympus SP570UZ is last year's model. The Nikon P90 will have 24x zoom and it will do VGA resolution movies.
