New camera, are my lenses good enough?

I'm thinking of upgrading my Canon 300D for either a 40D or 50D, I've discounted the Nikon D90 (I have lots of Canon lenses) and anything full frame because I think the APC sensor is adequate for my needs.

I have five Canon fit lenses:

Kit that came with the Canon 300D - 18-55mm
A cheap 70-300 Sigma zoom.
Sigma EX 20mm F1.8 DG
Sigma EX 28-70mm F2.8
Sigma EX 70-200mm HSM F2.8 (First model)

Are the EX lenses good enough for the sensor on the 50D? I would not mind a 40D but the extra features on the 50D appeal to me. I guess I would be able to micro-adjust the focus on the lenses if needs arise. And the screen is much better for focusing.

I'd like to get a good quality zoom lens, would it be better for me to get a 1.4X or 2.0X converter to go with the Sigma 70-200, or would it be better to get a new lens such as the 150-500 Sigma lens?

Any advice would be appreciated.
