LX3 flash trigger voltage

Seeing yeedubs post about his LX3 set up which looks very neat makes me wonder if anyone knows what Panasonic think is a safe trigger voltage for aftermarket flash guns with this camera. yeedub is using a Sunpak Auto222 which according to http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html triggers at 6.7volts. They consider this voltage to be in the grey area regarding the safety of your cameras circuitry.

Manufacturers safe specs vary and are sometimes at variance to industry standards.
Anyone know the figure for the LX3?
