Hi you guys

Just thought you would like to know a new H series is due soon ,cant remember model but has 20X zoom 9.1mp hd video auto panoramic but not CZ :(

Was Nikon then Fuji Now Canon :-)

BTW its NOT called H60
 
sorry been out all day my source is rock solid :) the model number is somthing like hdx1 or somthing like that the body looks the same as h50 give or take a few lumps and it will be revealed by dp and others very soon .BTW it has very fast fps as well at full res :) not sure for what lenght of time though

and price is 400 pounds plus :(

More people want HD video in still cameras than don't want it. Me personally I have gone the other way and loving it. I virtually never use my Canon S2 or Sony H9 since I bought a Sanyo Exati HD1010 video camera that takes photos. :-)

if the video is getting more important then the still image imho this means even more compromises.

hopefully we are going back to more basic camera's with great image quality.

anyhow i keep loving my old fashioned basic shooting material.

to each his own but for video i will keep using the camcorder.

i have a sony miniDV camera at the moment, and will be upgrading to a sony HD camera soon,

i dont really care for HD video on a camera, its a bonus but i dont like them pushing the price up because of a function i dont really care for..

hope they offer it in two flavours, one with HD vid and one without like SX1 and SX10

There are online vendors that already have DSC-HX1 up as place holders.

9 Megapixels
