CA in 18-105 vs 18-135
I recently picked up an 18-135 and have been impressed by it's sharpness and enjoy the versatility. I couldn't see any problems with CA and wondered what all the fuss was about, forgetting that it's winter and I live in a country where the sky's overcast much of the time. First day with a bright sky and the bare branches of an old oak and boy, what a different story - the finer (and not so fine) branches look like they've been hit by a purple St Elmo's fire!
So, 2 questions: for anyone who has some experience of them - would NX2 deal with this? (CS3 couldn't) and would the 18-105 be a better bet. On this last, I could trade in the 18-135 and pick up the 18-105 for around $50.
I guess a final question: how much of a loss is that 35mm on a walk around? (General landscapes, architectural and a few candids but I do have a Sig 10-20 too)
Thanks in advance for your thoughts,
