E510 VS FL-50R structural integrity weak point

Ever wonder where the weak point between the e510 and the FL-50R is? It was bugging me for a while, so I had to test it out:

Actually, I am not sure what happened. It was probably dropped on the ground.

The flash still works, but the plastic physically snapped in 4 locations close to where the 4 screws are visible on the bottom. The back panel and the bottom panel are the broken pieces of plastic.

Would you try gluing it or sending it to Olympus to replace the 2 plastic pieces?
What type of glue would you use?
Once it has been glued Olympus might not be able to repair it after that.
