Thanks for your comments Jeff. The quality of these shots is a huge step above the disposables, which I would expect. I did use the underwater scene mode, and eventually just turned off the flash altogether which improved the results for me, probably because the water is more churned up near the surface. I did do some pp'ing and re-posted in a new thread - and there is a marked improvement in the shots. I used Picasa to do that, for the first time, since my usual software isn't available right now, and it didn't turn out too badly. Thanks again for your comments.
