On a 5D Mark II, 24-70 F2.8L or 24-105mm F4L IS?

Dear all,

I'm planning to buy a 5D Mark II; just haven't decided yet whether to go with the kit lens 24-105 F4L IS, or separately get a 24-70 F2.8L.

24-105 F4L IS considerations:

1. I'll be shooting lots of indoor baby photos, flash is not an option. Is F4 fast enough on a 5D for this, taking into account its noise reduction & iso performance?
2. does F4@105mm give comparable depth of field against the F2.8@70mm?

3. does the 5D vignetting correction compensate for this lens' image quality against the 24-70mm one?

4. I understand IS is nice to have, but for fast moving babies it might not be as valuable as F2.8.

5. heard about some rumors there's gonna have a mark II 24-70mm F2.8. dunno if it's true though.

Any advice / comments're most welcome.

Thanks,
AK
