How to keep your 450d/XSi safe in a drop.

Before buying my first reflex I researched a lot.

And I read over and over again that I should buy an UV filter to every lens I buy.

That filter will protect your lens from small scratches and maybe even from a fall.
Now I (unfortunately) have proved it myself.

Canon 450d with Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS and a Sigma UV DG filter.

Result from the drop.
Fortunately it felled on the lens.

Bye bye UV filter. You have served your purpose with courage and sucess.

Almost scratch free lens.

Now I can breathe again.

So I give you three advices:

1 - Keep an UV filter in every lens you buy.
2 - Always close your backpack when you take something out.
3 - Always keep your neck strap on.
