EF300 f2.8 USM IS vs EF100-400 USM IS

FYI, I am using a 5DII and I do have both the 70-200 f2.8 non-IS and 100-400 IS.

I love my 100-400 on my ex-40D... But now upgraded to FF, all my lenses become shorten... So I wonder if I need to replace my 100-400 with 300 f2.8...

Pro and Cons of replacing the 300 f2.8 that I can think of;

+ Well extended from my 70-200 f2.8. And the IS should be usefull as my 70-200 has no IS.

+ It can go longer with TC2.0x and yet still maintain AF... With 600 f5.6, I can enjoy same framing as 400 f5.6 on 40D.
+ More bokeh for potrait shots

+ It cannot zoom... I found for some events such as concert, I constantly zooming between 300mm to 400mm for perfect framing straight from the camera... Well, prime cannot do that... and I cannot move around in such event.

+ It is big and beavy... And should be a burden carrying around. And should be troubles for many events.

+ It might block my STE-E2 transmitter and make it less reliable for vertical shots where my transmitter is on my left and 580EX II is on right side.

Do advise me if it is fesible to do such an upgrade... Be it the 300 f2.8 with or without IS. Thanks.
