Re: get rid of camera shake icon?

Hi Don,

Thanks for replying, though it took a long time. No problem.

I know why it didn't work for me now. It's because I left the flash on. It worked when I switched it off. I have 2 questions.
1) What is the effect of different shutter speed and aperture combination?

2) Is I tried them out, some of the combination are displayed red in color on the LCD screen. What does that mean?

Thanks again.

What is rocker button? You mean the 4 directional

Yes... I forgot the terminology. Apparently it's "omni selector."

I tried your steps in P mode but
nothing happened. The locked aperture and shutter
setting disappeared when I tried.

Hmm, don't know what to say. I just tried it again and it works
perfectly.

Perhaps you can try it again. I followed exactly the steps I listed
below.

Half-press your shutter button and press .
Let up on your shutter button.
Use your left and right rocker switches to change your
shutter/aperture ratio.
Half-press your shutter button again to achieve focus.
Press your shutter to take picture.

This technique keeps your exposure the same by balancing your
shutter speed with aperture. You must repeat the process for
each shot.

Failing that, check pages 75-76 in the manual in case my explantion
is off (I'm off to bed now).

Sorry it took me so long to reply. These messages tend to disappear
fairly quickly. I only found it by doing a search on my name which
I do every once in a while to see if I've missed any threads I've
commented on.

Let me know if you can't get this to work. It's really quite a
useful feature.

Don
