25 more eagles with new 1D Mark III

I am getting this sucker dialed in now I hope. I am finding servo settings I am comfortable with, and I am getting better results with my 1.4X.

It is weird. I measured the micro adjust at about 90 feet for the bare 500 and the 500+1.4x in one-shot and found both to be zero. One day I was shooting eagles and took a series of shots between -10 and 10 in servo mode on a sign on a dam that was basically infinity. I found the -10 sharper than -5 etc. So I set it to -10 and got much better results. Still have some work to sdo there.

Anyhow. I AM KEEPING IT :-). Here are some shots from the last few weeks at L&D 14 on the Mississippi in VERY cold sub-zero weather (I had my 500 malfunction for a bit). Hope you enjoy them.

these first two are full height vertical crops.

this one very cropped:

The resat are cropped some, noe but none too much.
