Night landscapes and HDR

Hi there!
I have just been perfecting my HDR skills and would like to get a few comments.

First, how do you do night landscapes in HDR? From a single RAW long exposure, or you bracket the exposures from split second to minutes long? Or yet do you change the f-stop of the camera?

What is the best method or what are the advantages of and disadvantages of these methods.

Thanks in advance.

Exposure: 60 seconds
F-number: f/10
Exposure Program: Manual
ISO: 100
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS 3.5-5.6 @18mm

HDR Method:
1 - Take a single RAW file and print a JPEG to every EV from -2 to +2.
2 - HDR and Tone Mapping with Photomatix.
3 - Share online and make a fool of yourself
