nice, looks good for the moon (similar to my moon picture with the 55-250).
As to the value of 238mm, I am not sure you can take this as the real value.

after all, it's just some setting in the zoom, and who knows how accurate that is.

Having said that, there also some variation that a xxxmm lens is not necessarily xxx, but perhaps 10% less. I have not seen any comments about the 55-250 IS that the 250mm is not really 250mm.

However, on the canon 18-200 IS, many people comment it's really more like 170mm. However, this is at non-infinity distances. A test (there was just another thread on this) showed that the canon 18-200 IS is 199mm at infinity, but at closer focusing distances does indeed go to more like 170mm due to internal focusing.

Now, with the moon, I guess that's a reasonable approximation of infinity,
so hopefully the 55-250 IS is close enough to 250mm
