Re: life span of a camera

According to Sony engineers, the expected life of a new digital camera , with all of its inner workings and over 300 combinations of settings is around 7 years.... Which sounds about right, but then actuations play into it and the technology curve plays into it... Technology increases exponentially, because what we learn and what we push helps to grow the technology. IN seven years the camera may still function but , because of technology, you may want to up grade.. its like having a computer with 256 MB of memory.. it may still work but its no longer practical.
Capturing memories, one at a time.
