the shots are nice enough. No complaints there. Not sure the sepia ADDS anything, but it may very well detract something. Nature shots tend to look best in colour to me. Some landscapes where you want to highlight shapes and contrasts do well in b&w but for wildlife I have a strong preference for colour.

Then again there may be something specific your are trying to achieve with the sepia. If so I have been too dense to spot it.

Nice bird shots, but I think sepia works better with images you want to look old/"antiqued".

IMO, a shot like this one of an old restored Western North Carolina mountain cabin would be a prime subject for using sepia. I also like the B&W version. Sometimes, it's difficult to decide which is better! The original of this image was done with my LX3 set on "dynamic B&W".

That's much better Trevor, really like them in colour, up to your usual standard, I was trying to think of what to say, and then when I got to your post I was so pleased to see these! Sorry they didn't work for me either!

Love the shots Trevor..also love that bird..very cute!! How about just a desat. of everything but the bird? I think they are lovely in color..but for something diff..and to excentuate the bird, you could try it. The sepia doesn't add anything to an already excellent shot.

Great shots BTW.

My opinion is just that.

I would only quibble with your crops, which both seem too tight to my eyeball. Good "thinking outside the box," Trevor!

Trevor, you take superb coloured pics of birds. Why change a winning formula?
Serpia...narrrrrrr, not for you nor the birds.
