Has anyone done infrared photos with the D90?

Re: Has anyone done infrared photos with the D90?

The problem with newer cameras (with Nikon, pretty much anything since the D80) is that they are installing much more aggressive IR pass-through filters on the sensors. These filters block infrared light, since IR can shift the colors of standard photos. Honestly, if you want to shoot a lot of IR with a newer camera, your best bet is to convert your cam to IR-only. A company like LifePixel is your best bet. I still shoot IR with a Nikon D50, because I can't quite yet afford a new camera+the cost of conversion.

You can see some of my IR at http://douganphotography.webs.com or http://www.flickr.com/photos/cappaholic
