Re: A comment and two questions...

Hi Eric,

well actually I use to sharpen images very little with either PS usm or nik sharpener pro for prints. This picture is already amazingly sharp when viewed 100% on my cinema display. It was taken with a 1Ds3 plus 24-70L @f11. As for the watermark I totally agree with you, in fact I never place any on my pictures, but you know, this one could be used for commercials so even if it's resized I decided to put a watermark...

and yes, you are totally right, seriously, I almsot catch a hypothermia out there while taking this picture, I stayed about 50 minutes in the cold, it was windy and when I was finished I got my hands totally frozen and a terrible headache... and soon after I had to go back to the hotel...

A very nice photo! Its actually surprisingly sharp considering you
didnt do any post or USM on it.

Just out of pure curiosity, why did you decide not to sharpen? Also,
your watermark totally ruins this one for me. Its such a nice
picture with wonderful composition and tones.... only to have a big
ol watermark across it. I totally understand the desire to protect
your images, but at what cost?

Anyway, nice job on the shot! Hope ya didnt catch hypothermia. Its
freakin COLD out this time of year.

this has been resized from 21 megapixel with no PP or USM.
