glossy or lustre

Sorry if this is an old or stupid question but I usually print my personal photos at Costco which gives me the option of glossy or lustre type prints.

Is there a general consensus on what type is better/nicer especially for larger prints like 8x10's? Or is one type better for a specific type of photograph (portraits, landscapes, black and white, etc.) Just curious what others opinions are. Thanks.
