I don't know why the Lensmate page on the Sigma DPI wide angle shots
doesn't work anymore, but it was a very interesting page showing the
same corner detail of an image using 10 different wide converters.
The differences are pretty dramatic. I'd be interested in seeing if
there's a reason Canon had to create a new converter.

I tried a handful of test photos late last night, and the images looked pretty good to me, even at 100 percent. I didn't go so far as to test the same framing with and without the converter, but that's something I'll probably try to do (if I have the time today, that is).

Also...with tele-converter, we might not see the same kind or degree of corner detail aberrations that might be seen with a wide-angle converter (not that I've really played with these kinds of converters before -- this is pretty new territory for me).

Was the Lensmate comparison page anything like this page on the G9/G7 (and the "corner" images shown lower on the page)?
