Re: Give me the RAW file [Re: Inital comparison D3x - D3 - P45+]

RAW Developer (Mac only), which handles the D3x/P45+ 5DII RAW files natively (with the current version released last week), DoG (Differential of Gaussian) Sharpening with careful parameter adjustment while looking at 200%, the output 16-bit to around 180% (avoid 200% at this stage), then little further USM in Photoshop (like 0.3/200/0) while match contrast and colors. The last step is down sampling in Photoshop (Bicubic sharper) to match the P45+ pixel dimensions to make the subject the same size. The Hybrid and the Richard-Luci Deconvolution Sharpening may also work well. If you happen to subscribe to Lloyd Chamber's DAP you see how RAW Developer totoally changed his conclusions in the 1DsIII vs D3 test after we worked together.

You can download the trial version of DAW Developer and the Imaging-Resource's D3x RAW sample image files to see the differences. ACR/LR are the worst possible RAW convertor for NEF files in general.

to do the D3x work flow?
