Film to digital scanner

I didn't bother to read every post, just the first reactions.

While I'm in no way an expert and can't tell you anything about the quality of different scanners, I've heard that flatbed are best for medium format (and probably good enough for your 35mm needs), dedicated filmscanners are best for 35mm. Where I live a brandnew Nikon LS-50 ED CoolScan V sells for roughly the same price as the Epson V750. I just wanted to let you know a dedicated scanner doesn't have to cost you a lot more than a flatbed.
