>>>Oly DSLR 97 challenge - Oh! Crop! <<<

Not that! Go back and read the title again

Cropping is a photographic tool that we often use with the zoom lens - starting out with a large image and then zooming in to a point of interest.

The challenge this time is to take an image = from that image crop out 2 more images. Cropping 3 completely different images out of one image does not count. So all three of our challenge entries will be taken from one image. That will be the limit. You can photoshop any or all of the images in a different way (2 color, 1 b&W - etc).

I have set the galleries up so that each of the rows has 3 entries. To keep each entrant's entries on a row I have made some fillers in the main gallery if you need them. Most of the time it is discouraged to move your pictures around - but this time it is OK to get alll of your entries in one row.

I am going to see if I can push the votes into a spreadsheet. This time your "placing" will be the end result of all 3 of your picts! I will double check my calulations with someone(who?) after.

Entry period from now Dec 11, the time of this post, until 9pm (GMT) on Monday December 22nd, 2008

Voting will start straight after, and run till Wednesday December 24th at 9pm GMT.

Please add your name after the title (makes voting easier), and make the image 800 pixels on the long edge, no larger than 200K. Ensure the EXIF data is intact with the date it was taken. Pbase let us run these challenges free on their website, so please respect this by keeping your file size reasonable.

To post a photo in either gallery; just select the gallery of choice from below. On the top of the page you will see "edit this gallery", click on that and it will ask for a password. Enter "kickass" (keep it lower case) and you should be able to make it from there. If you still need assistance, ask and you shall be answered. Sometimes the answer actually helps!

Main Gallery:

Competition Gallery: ONLY pics taken with a 4/3 DSLR (Pana, Leica, Oly) DURING the time of the challenge (Dec 11th through Dec 22nd at 9pm GMT):

Exhibition Gallery: any pictures on theme, taken any time, with any camera:

Originals (for heavily processed entries or those with stripped exif data or ...):
Don't get too worried if the originals gallery ends up a mess
