I just got my 5D mark !! Here some test results...

I was thinking the same thing, then I thought about it: I find this model attractive as well.

I don't have a particular affinity for Asian women...but I know a beautiful woman when I see one. She's beautiful. End of discussion.

All i see is Camera 5D mark II, Lens 85L

Nice blurry background. Yeah yeah big deal.
Just to cheer u up......
Dont worry they say that the recession might only last about 5 years.

LOL

Nice images Eric. Looked at your pbase gallery and those shot with the 5dmkII look much better than the ones shot with your 40d. Maybe it's just the model in front of the 5dmkII though? =)

The previous poster has a point (despite some kinda gross words), I think everybody knows that a 800x500 pixel image taken with the 5DII doesnt say much and at that point it's totally equivalent to 5D.

Still nice to see some good shots , but these ones tell me more about the 85 f1.2L and a good technique than the camera itself.

And yes... it include my operating mistakes like over-exposure. I did not know the metering is different from my 40D.

And of course adjustment from raw always give the best... Too bad software yet to support the camera... Let's wait..

And this is why I decided not to keep my 40D...

The FF camera also solve AF issue when I shoot full body at f1.2.

Lense is spelled "Lens", not with an E at the end :)

Regardless of that, the images look very decent, except for over exposure and lack of a little contrast.

Good Job!

Great job with the pictures!! I'm extremely jealous of both not having the camera and and shooting this beautiful model!!

Something I noticed, and maybe it's just my particular tastes, but my monitor is calibrated, and they look just a touch overexposed. I mention this because I've had this problem with all my Canons including the 1D MKII, 20D and 40D. My 5D is usually just a bit closer.

But, when I opened these images up in Photoshop and dropped the exposure just a bit, they look perfect. I only mention this becaused you mentioned not having to compensate which I usually do with my cameras. About 1/3 stop usually takes care of it.

I know, it's a minor quibble, but it just seemed a common thing with Canons. Anyone else?

Otherwise, fantastic pictures and I hope to see more from you!!

what is your freaking problem?
someone can't say she is a beautiful girl without being accused of asian fetish?
grow up!

yes there are billions of asians, and a lot of them are beautiful, if you do not like them and you like something else, just respect people taste/opinion and
just STFU

Try herbal tea, I've heard it does wonders with blocked sphincters...
Blocked with what? A BIG black dot maybe? ;-)

I stand corrected :)

That was actually a very interesting fact to find out!

Even though know one would think that would be the way to spell lens, I now (and others) know you can actually spell it "lense".

Lense to me seems like a foreign way to spell it, but what counts is the photos and not how you spell lense/lens :)

Thanks for the clarification.
