The A900 reaches well beyond our solar system!

This picture is a stack of six frames each 5 minutes at ISO 1600 with the Sony A900. The lens was an autoguided Takahashi FS-102 telescope (102 mm lens diametre, 820 mm focal length).

The A900 blue sensitivity is very good and the red sensitive seems to be pretty good, maybe sligthly better than the A700. The temperature was minus five degrees Celsius which helped to keep digital noise at a low level. No in-camera noise reduction was used. I also made some manual dark frames that I will use later when I get more time to work on the raw files.
