Take a Hike with me to Wachella Falls...

Roman, your images are inspiring. Oregon & Washington States are probably the most scenic places on earth. You really know how to capture Oregons small secrets. Thanks for sharing.

It's funny Roman, let alone the fact that I've never been to the Pacific Northwest I'm also partially color blind.

I believe the colors there are very saturated, the thing that looks somewhat (and I mean just a bit) off to me is the brightest parts of the moss - I noticed that when you set the saturation quite high, the first color to change is the dark green that becomes emerald. I also notice this effect when I process HDRs in Photomatix - it seems to generate extremely saturated colors...

Just check out your NEFs - if the color is there, then I'm just being jealous ;-)

Anyway, it's up to you to decide on the saturation - in my first post I should've added "IMO"

And again - great shots!

Jean

Actually I never touched the saturation control but to actually turn it down a hair...

Roman,

Your work is fantastic, and it keeps getting better. I wish I had eyes like yours! Now the question - are you getting a D3x?

First off...thanks for your kind comments. Actually my eyes are driven by my heart.....(thats where the REAL eyes are) ; )

My wife tells me yes.....I am kind of miffed at the price point....and resistant.

But I will probably end up with it.....and probably not the D700X (if one indeed comes out)

I want the longer shutter life, better build...more card space....

As things change, I will be shooting more and the longevity and build quality of th D3X is kinda hard to resist.....

I hope the market drives down the price much like with the 1DsMKIII

it was set at the same price point, but is selling at about $6800 now.

Thats not over the top to me.....

Gonna have to make the extra coin this year.....and get it.
