Bayer - Foveon comparison

Sigma should have always claimed 14.6Mp

Because.... resolution for Bayer sensors is well below that of the number of pixels anyway. From a simple marketing perspective, Sigma have shot themselves in the foot by advertising the Foveon as a 4.6Mp sensor. Many consumers don't understand the differences between the two sensor types and simply look at the numbers instead of the image quality.

I would have a camera with a Foveon sensor over a CCD any day.....if the price was right!

Cheers
