Thom's article?

Relax, it's a great lens there is nothing to fault with the IQ, there are issues to deal with ergonomically. Here I'll give you my mini-review, used on a D200

Super fast AF-S
Focusing is super accurate, tracks birds in flight, moving objects like a lazer
The viewfinder is incredibly bright
Images are super sharp wide open up to 350mm,
F/5.6 400mm are super sharp
Superb IQ -0 Great Contrast- Great Colour- Great Bokeh
Build Quality is top notch

Too big
Too Bulky especially with the lens hood
Too much of a pain in the neck to carry around
After a while I missed the portability and flexibility of t he 80-400 VR

Loved the IQ and the constant F/4 , hated having to carry the thing around

I've also been waiting anxiously for Thoms' review, ever since he announced it .........oh back in May, but alas nothing. Basically the fact that he's been waffling or sitting on the fence on this lens for so long, will make me lower the weight I can put on it. Wether he likes it or not, The average person only has 30 days to decide whether to keep or return , so if you can't decide on 30 days, well then you keep it
