No, not all are contaminated. I took one good pic Saturday night.

You missed my point: I LIKE my SONY sensor inside the D300, but I don't like or trust SONY. SONY has simply demonstrated on MANY occasions that they are capable of really dumb business decisions...they have no regard for their customers and think that their customers are so stupid that they won't notice being $crewed over.

Nikon is a big, powerful intermediary for me. When they (and others) discovered that SONY had reduced the bond time in an entire production run of sensors and that these bonds were failing, Nikon (and others) interceded and made SONY replace the sensors and pay them (and others) for the expense of replacing them. Thus, My 5700 has a good sensor again at no cost to me.

Although SONY also replaced these sensors in their cameras, I'm sure they thought and talked a LONG time about NOT doing this.
