A 50mm will not project the same image because that depends on the image circle projected at the back.

4/3rds lenses, surprisingly, project 4/3rds sized images onto 4/3rd sized sensors. It does not project the same image as a 50mm lens optimised for a 35mm sensor. That is why the smallest Oly lenses are smaller than anyone elses.
