Rugby photos: D200 & 70-200VR

Took some photos for a school's 1st XV and here are some of the results and how it went...

I used the 70-200 throughout and tried the 1.7 converter for a short while but for some reason didn't really get on with it, kept missing focus, and when it did acquire it was soft. So took it off and got much more consistent results (it was an overcast day)

Started with Auto-Iso but realised that 1/250 was not fast enough (is there any way you can dial in a faster shutter?) So bumped up the shutter to at least 1/500 and went with ISO 200-800 and mostly f4 or smaller.

Shot with single point focus for most of game, continuous focus and af-on. Moved up and down the touch line for majority of game. EXIF is not in tact I'm afraid, if you would like any info just ask.
