D700 vs 5DII vs A900

As a former 5D owner and new a900 owner...

I don't know why you wouldn't go with the Sony. You say it's over priced but with just as much resolution as Canon's $7,000USD 1DSIII and very comparable IQ I'd have to disagree with you. If you are a landscape shooter this is all the camera you'll ever need. The 5D is a great landscape camera, the a900 is perfect. The amount of DR and shadow detail is absolutely incredible.

As far as lenses go, I don't know why you'd pick the 135 as a landscape shooter? You're much better off with the Sigma 24mm f/1.8 and a 50mm f/1.4 or something similar. This way you have two smallish, image stabilized primes that will cover both landscapes and indoor shooting. The following is a picture from last weekend, and it's not a perfect one by any stretch but my friends DSLR wasn't able to touch it in the shadows by the first lake (in his photos you can't even see the lake):
