Larger sizes can be seen on my Flickr page.

1. Basically out of camera.

2. Old look.

3. Another old look.

4. Like number 1 but reduced the (IMO oversaturated greens).

I like #1 the best. Others dont do much for me. the scene might look alright in B&W though.

  1. 4 is probably technically better than #1, but to my surprise I prefer #1. Seems to have more depth, at least on my monitor. Doesn't make sense, but there you go.
  1. 2 and #3 would be good for some specific purpose. #2 in particular gave me a smile. But they are more clearly artificial, i.e., it's clear that "someone" is trying to make a point about "something", whereas #1 (and somewhat #4) just made me wish I were there right now.
Thanks,
Sterling

Jim I like the first one best:

1. The white color of the building is a nice white color and stands out from the surrounding. I like the subject to stand out from the crowd. The rest of the white does not pop-out and blends into the background.

2. The greens surround it is pleasing to the eyes and is not deep green or the yellow tinted green that can be distracting for a shot like this.

Now I will have a read of what others think.

cheers and have a nice weekend.

I like the picture AND for me it is the first one that jumps out.

Thanks all for your comments.

Now that I look at them on a couple of different monitors I think the first one works the best. I am not really fond of the shot either, I have a few that I like better from the other side of the complex, but alas it is hard to do macros of cottages. ;-)
