Sony wants to have it's hands in everything consumer related, but
lets face it, are they going to build Sony cars, NO.

No..but they will probable build your house hold help in a year or 10 to 15..if you want it is a second

There's a WHOLE lot more behind a great camera other that a great
sensor, or body, or lens, or feel, or price etc. It all has to work
perfectly and Nikon does that better than anyone.

Because Sony has not a long anolog camera history they cannot build or put a camera system together?!? Poor Zeiss...Sony i mean.

CAnon is still

playing catch up with Nikon, as all the others are, Sony will take
another 50 years before they are there. No worries.

In Japan Sony dslr cameras' are getting quite populair, probable because of the poor quality price ratio and that they miss the basis of 'ol mechanical camera design

I agree Nikon needs to make their own sensor or better yet but Fuji
sensors and tweak them because those are the best sensors on the
planet.

Why do they need??? Why are they the best sensors? You really wil be surprised when RED is coming out with it's new camera...photo that is, or better said a video camera capable of photgraphy

I still shoot the S2 and get amazing shots. Now granted it focuses
slow, and has a short burst, but the sensor is amazing......and that
was a sensor developed many years ago.

I still shoot sometimes with my Mamiya 7-II and it gives me amazing shots, and that was a camera developed years ago, same counts for my used F5 which I bought this year
