scratches on the disply?

Re: Try 'Boxwave'...

I got some quite bad scratches on the screen of my 510. This was from having it loose in a rucksack while trekking in Nepal though so not your average day to day use. I should have been more careful.

Anyway, I got some Displex polish which is a very, very fine abrasive and used that, combined with a fair bit of patience to polish out the scratches.

It worked really well. You can still see some slight indentations on the screen but the scratching itself is gone and the screen almost as good as new.

Other than that I've never had problems with scratches on any other camera screen. If you're careful with you kit you should be fine without a screen protector and if you do get some scratches you can polish them out fairly easily.
