Kim - I love this phrase of yours...

WONDERFUL !

One of my long-time hobbies is collecting "sayings" - some from famous people - some proverbs - and some great comments found in real life - like this one of yours.

An all-time favorite is Teddy Roosevelt:

"Do the best you can, with what you have, where you are."

does that cover it, or what?

Another one often used (in my life) is from the Dustin Hoffman flick "Little Big Man" - in which an old Indian Chief gets Hoffman (who was raised by Indians) to help him to a burial ground, where he wills himself to die, being old and tired. The chief lies on his back and composes himself for death, eyes shut. We wait.

After a few minutes it starts to rain on him, and he sits up and resignedly says:

"Sometimes the magic works - and sometimes it doesn't."

This is often applicable in photography - and in software...
