(Please bear with me) The reason I asked this is because I'm curious if anyone else has had any color issues with their LCD. While this laptop is great for a desktop replacement it is crucial if you do any photo editing or posting - that the colors are of course accurate. I have the sharp, vibrant 1920x1200 screen (which I love) but this is the first LCD where I've had some color issues at the default settings. Mostly skin tones/reds and blues - they are just a bit 'off'. I'm now getting used to extra sharpness of the LCD that makes noise more apparant in photos. Anyhow I have just finished (I hope) recalibrating the colors in the ATI Catalyst and resetting the color profile. I can share my settings if anyone is interested or you can share your's. Now my LCD is looking more like it should. I tweaked and tweaked and it's now much more accurate than it was. Anyone else had this experience with their laptop or desktop and it drove them nuts until they got it calibrated? (BTW I should mention that I normally post in the Canon, Fuji or Pan. camera forums - so this is my first post here in the PC forum)

For color accuracy, the best I have seen is from the Apple laptops and displays. A bit pricy but right on color. For IBM compatibles, suggest you use some type of color calibration equipment. I'm also eyeing the Studio 17. Good luck on yours and let us know if you get the monitored calibrated.
