5D Mark II's image quality will be

Recently we saw the images from 50D and they were less than satisfactory.

When you see 50D images compared those of 30D & 40D (refer dpreview sample images in each review.) you will notice colors de-saturate progressively as number of mp increases and I feel 50D images a little fuzzy. Personally I worry 50D may have surpassed the sweet spot in terms of pixel density.

Canon 50D 4.5 MP/cm² pixel density
Canon 40D 3.1 MP/cm² pixel density
Canon 30D pixel density: not available

Currently I own a Fujifilm FinePix F30. F30's images are incredible.

To see how good the images from F30 (up to ISO 800/1600) are, see the sample images from F30.

Fujifilm FinePix F30/F31fd has 14 MP/cm² pixel density.

Nikon D3/D700 has 1.4 MP/cm² pixel density.
Canon 1Ds Mark III/ 5D Mark II has 2.4 MP/cm² pixel density.
Nikon D80 has 2.7 MP/cm² pixel density.

Canon claims 5D Mark II will deliver good image quality in high ISO.

Do you believe their claim?

I will believe Canon's claim if 5D Mark II is from Fujifilm.

Logically speaking 5D Mark II's image quality will be slightly better than that of D80, far worse than that of Nikon D3/D700.
