Re: Pay Attention

I actually find that it is during grip & grin sessions where lots of people are getting awards that I have my least sharp result.

The most important part of a grip & grin style picture is the face of the person receiving the award. But, under pressure it can be very difficult to pick the part of a person's face that conforms the best to what the camera's AF system likes for input.

It is an eye or a mouth? Is it the collar line or, as the salesperson in my local store says for weddings, a bow tie. Selecting the object for the AF to use is DEFINITELY, as you have pointed out, a major part of the solution.
