What a judgment !

I considere the opposite. It can help you at an efficient expert system. When you go to some area that have a mixed ligthing ambiance. You can quickly test and adjust your settings on the fly according to the proof on the screen BTW you are ready to shot very quickly.

Moreover, you are not desapointed later if you set wrongly the camera (for exemple if you forget to check all the settings before you begin a new session) maybe this can save all your job !

And more, if you don't have this feature, it's a little hard to adjust the white balance in dirty lighting situation. You have to try with many shot until you have the right balance.

Also it's much more easy to check the "fill-in" mode.

And last but not least, it's easiest for place the histogram to the left


And everything especially if you're not a pro...
