50D owners! When/where did u order?

Ok, i have NO IDEA where "Paul's camera" is, and of course people don't ever say WHEN they bought it.

I placed my order mid-day exactly one month ago, Aug. 29th. Ritz Camera, (who got me my 40d Sep 3rd 2007) still says back ordered.

Please, state WHERE you ordered it from, and WHEN you placed your order. Tell us the name of the store AND LOCATION!

lenses make the image, the camera only records it. my zoom is my feet, not my fingers, don't be lazy, buy primes :)
 
Ordered via eBay Australia from DigitalRev last Monday, received it yesterday. Super fast shipping considering that they had a Typhoon in between! :)

Sure, just look over to the right side of the screen at "More Buying Choices." It lists Amazon.com ($1399 body only, $1599 body/kit lens). I assume clicking on the "Add to Cart" button there will allow you to pre-order it.

Berger Bros.

Saw them recommended somewhere on this forum. Called today, no body's left but have plenty of kits with the 18-200mm. Ordered at 2pm today, just got confirmation from UPS for Weds delivery,,,,cool cause my daughter have a volleyball game that night. High ISO tests to be done.
 
Ordered mine Friday from Lakeside Photoworks in Metairie, LA. I received it this afternoon...the high ISO looks pretty good!!

I just got the same email with the same dates for the kit version. I am hoping that my local stores come thru and have it WAY before then.
 
I just placed an order today for a 50d w 17-85 kit from Aden camera. They said they had a few in stock ( despite their website saying preorder) They said they'll ship out tomorrow (!) I believe them as they just charged my card this evening. Should be in my hands for the weekend
 
Mentioned to a little camera store in MI I would be interested in one about 2 weeks ago. They called last Saturday and said they got 4 in late Friday. I picked one up as well as another customer. The other 2 went to walk ins while I was there.
 
Amazon.com been unreliable to me too many times with their pre-orders which later became delays and eventually cancellations. I ordered my 50D and my 5D Mark II from Berger Brothers. In fact, I also just received my UPS shipping notice for the 50D from Berger Brothers in the email today.
