Have you ever used Nikon lenses? Or have you read opinions (by Canon

To correct your ridiculous claims:
Can use 85L vs cannot (Nikon version is inferior ---> COMPLETELY FALSE!!)

Well, having used both the 85L on 5D and 85mm 1.4 Nikkor (which I currently own) on D3 and D700 (which I currently own), and having corrected some other ridiculous claims by TheVoIP, I actually tend to agree with him on this point.

The 85mm 1.4 Nikkor is a great lens, but the 85mm 1.2L Canon is simply magic.

Can use 200 f2 IS vs cannot (Nikon version is never as
Canon 24-70 L perform much better than Nikon
equivalents---> COMPLETELY FALSE!! The new Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens
and the new Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S are both the best lenses
available in their focal ranges, irrespective of the manufacturer
(Canon included)!!
All canon 70-200 L perform much better than Nikon at FF of
course.---> COMPLETELY FALSE!!

Agree on above.

100-400L IS L is much better than 80-400 VR---> COMPLETELY FALSE!!

Well, it IS a lot better in autofocus, and the IS is not as clunky as the first generation VR. IQ wise they are about the same (not that great either of them, but what would you expect from a $1000 400mm zoom).

35 f1.4 bokeh is much better than thier 35 f2 ---> COMPLETELY FALSE!!

I don't think he was refering to the quality of the bokeh (which is a subjective thing anyway), but to the shallow DOF you can get with the f/1.4 that you cannot get with f/2.0, and I agree on that too.

Let's face it, when it comes to fast primes under 200mm, Canon simply OWNS Nikon. 135mm F2L, 100mm F2 USM, 85mm 1.2L, 85mm 1.8 USM, 50mm 1.2L, 35mm 1.4L, 24mm 1.4L. Nikon counterparts either don't exist, or are significantly inferior.

And this is coming from me, a guy that sold his 5D with a large collection of Canon L lenses (24-105L, 35 1.4L, 50 1.2L, 135 2.0L, 70-200 2.8L IS, 400mm 5.6L) to switch to D3 + 14-24 + 24-70 + 70-200VR.

Let's hope the new 50mm 1.4 AF-S Nikkor is the sign of the things to come.
