Something odd is at work here, because this shot was taken at 1x, F16, 1/200, and ISO 100. It's a honey bee that's acting as an air conditioner for the hive -look at the wings...

Not long after I took that shot I started working on getting my flash duration shorter because it convinced me that motion blur might be a problem for a hand held shooter. I'm not talking about enough motion for you to see the direction of the blur -it would only take the width of half a pixel to rob you of detail. The level of detail in my images improved...

The problem with shooting a fan blade is that there just isn't enough detail at the edges to really see how much blur your getting (a striped, multicolored target on that blade would have been better than a black triangle) and your not shooting that fan blade at 1x...

Always minimal post processing and no cropping -unless you count the viewfinder...
