True, it takes about 3 seconds to become operative after shooting RAW.

No. At low ISO there is no noise worth mentioning, no more than with my Canon 40D. 400 ISO is quite ok.

and the lens has its limitations too.

It is a fixed 28mm (equivalent) f/4, comparable in IQ to a Canon L lens.

It is
not (as you implied) great for shooting indoors.

I have seen great indoors pics shot with the DP1. Indoors I only shoot people, and for this the 28mm lens of the DP1 is not my favorite length.
