What about lenses? If you have a fairly bright (f/1.8) lens, there's a lot you could do with isolating a subject. It would work the same way for video as it does for photos. What would you need to have in a video setup that would match a cheap 50/1.8. And if you have that already (as many people do), why buy a system solely for video?

I think this added functionality to your DLSR will be a very rewarding (creatively) addition to the experience...
