Agreed - I picked up a 28mm f2.8 AIS last week for the same price.
Colour, contrast and sharpness are superb. The Nikkor 18-35 is pretty
good optically and really light. If you can find a 2nd hand 28-200 G
lens grab it - they are vastly underrated full frame
wonderzoom...light, good range and optically VERY good.

I agree with that. The 28-200 g lens I have is actually a very good lens. I have several thousand shots with it that can prove that. Of course only about 100 or so are well composed and thought out, but that's not the lens fault.
